WKF Letter - Affiliation Clarification
In Memorial - Oliver Brunton
It is with great sadness to report that Oliver Brunton previously Northern Ireland President, has sadly passed away.
Oliver was a great karate practitioner and will be sorely missed by family, friends and his karate family.
The BKF sends its condolences to Oliver's family at this sad time.

BKF Statement - Recognition of EKNGB as BKF Members
The British Karate Federation would like to
welcome the EKNGB Ltd as a member. Please read the statement where we try to explain the past few months, where the English Karate Federation Ltd.
has come into disrepute, untenable as the governing body in England.
English Karate
The British Karate Federation (BKF) is aware of the current situtaion concerning the English Karate Federation (EKF) and is closely monitoring developments.
At this stage, it would be inappropriate for the BKF to comment further.
Our priority remains working with our members to ensure that the needs of the sport are upheld and supported during this time.

In Memorial - Mike Billman
The BKF is saddened to forward news of the sad passing of Mick Billman.
Mick was a former President of the English Karate Federation, former Chairman of the European Karate Federation Technical Committee, former member of the European Karate Federation Sports Commission and a member of the World Karate Federation Technical Committee.
The BKF offers its sincerest condolences and deepest sympathy to his family at this sad time.
We share your grief.

All entries will be via the National Coaches of the participating nations.
Each of the national governing bodies will nominate up to four entries per
category for the BKF Grand
Prix. Hence, this is not an open event.

The BKF have purchased a supply of WKF approved helmets and chest protectors which are available for competitors to use in the under 14 categories if, they do not already have their own helmets.
Anyone wishing to purchase WKF approved Helmets or chest protectors, the BKF are happy to take orders from all members. Please contact the tournament organiser regarding orders and payment. This will be on a first come first served basis.

World Technical Commission Secretary, Mike Billman, steps down
It has been announced that the Secretary of the World Karate Federation Technical Commission, Mike Billman, 9th Dan, has given notice that he is having to resign his position for personal reasons.
Mike has been on the WKF Technical Commission for many years now and was also the chairman of the European Technical Commission at the same time. Mike retired from the Euro TC in May, again for personal reasons, and now feels that he has to follow suit with his current position.
Historic Moment as GB Karate makes it debut in the Virtus Global Games
For the first time Karate makes its international debut at the Virtus
Global Games with Joseph Clifton (ENG) representing British Karate
Federation heading to Vichy as part of the GB Team.
