Davin Pack

Davin started karate at 5 years old, gained his black belt at 11 years old.

At 18 he gained both individual and team spots on the England National Team.

Davin won a number of European and World medals in both team and individual Events.

Davin began coaching in 2008 when he stared his own club, and has produced many champions at national and international level and is one of 2 current National kumite Coach's for England

In November 2010 he was brought in at the last minute (Paul Newby got injured in pre-training ) to go to the u21 world championships , after which he was giving the full time position along side Paul Newby as assist coach under the national coach for England.

In June 2018 Davin along with Paul Newby coached a BKF squad at the Youth Olympic qualifying event in Umag Croatia. 2 of the atheltes qualified gaining their place in the Youth Olympics which were held in Buenos Aries in October 2018. Davin coached Lauren Salisbury to the BKF's first Olympic medal.

 

 


Paul Newby

Paul started karate when he was 5 years old and has won over 500 medals.

 

Paul was selected for England at the age of 20 under Vic Charles M.B.E.

 

Paul has won many open internationals medals including golds silvers and bronzes in Golden League Tournaments which were the predecessor for WKF K1 events.

 

In Paul's collection of titles and medals he has 15x English champion Team and individual, 6x British champion team, individual European senior medals 2 Silver and 1 Bronze and at World senior level he won 2 Bronze 1 Silver and 1 Gold making him World Champion.

 

Paul was selected for his first major competition in 2000 for the WKF Worlds Munich and came 5th in 2002. He won a Bronze in 2004 then Gold -60kg.

 

One of his proudest achievements was being -60kg and always making the men's team which is unusual as most teams use their bigger fighters.

 

Paul has won many medals as part of the men's senior England team and on many occasions going out as number 1.
