Marina Hallworth

Marina Z. Hallworth was appointed Senior Independent Director of the British Karate Federation Ltd. in August 2019. The aim of her role is to create alignment between the BKF and its key stakeholders, Member Nations, Sponsors, UK and International Sporting Bodies, as well as raising the British Karate Federation profile in the world of sport and competitive martial arts.


A Chartered Engineer with the British Engineering Council and a Member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology, Marina is an Automotive professional who has held various Engineering, Marketing and Business Management roles over the past 20 years. Her broad industry experience has equipped her with the necessary governance skills and collaborative leadership abilities upon which she will be drawing to fulfill her role, serving as an Independent Director with the British Karate Federation Ltd.


In addition to BKF Ltd., Marina is also serving as a Director and Trustee of the Lighthouse Furniture Project Ltd., as well as chairing the Civilian Welfare Committee of 2393 Squadron Air Training Corps.


As a dedicated Karate student and a parent to a young future black-belt, Marina is passionate about promoting Karate at grass roots as a means of achieving core body and mind strength, balance and discipline.
