Clive Hayler

Clive Hayler is an entrepreneur and founder of three successful life science companies with board level experience in the UK and USA. He has over 30 years' experience in running businesses from start-up through scale-up to M & A. Currently Clive is a consultant to the NHS and leading Pharma/biotech companies for Strategic Evaluation, Risk Management, Innovation and Business development. He has been a Fellow of the Institute of Directors since 1989, has a joint honours degree in microbiology and business studies from the University of Liverpool and postgraduate research at Exeter University for BP.


Clive has been passionate about martial arts since boyhood starting out with Judo and progressing to Shotokan Karate with the Shotokan of England Karate Union (SEKU). He was graded by sensei Dave Hazard for his Shodan diploma and later enjoyed training at Steve Morris’s Goju ryu dojo.


Working with the BKF board his role is to bring his entrepreneurial and business strategy skills to enhance the governance and growth of the organisation.
